Have you recently updated to macOS Catalina version 10.15.4 or Mojave version 10.14.6?
The macOS update causes Microsoft Word to crash if the Word user has certain add-ins installed. WordRake was one of the incompatible add-ins.
Go to this page and follow the instructions to install the latest version. In the meantime, if you need to, you can uninstall WordRake by going to:
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/WordRake/Uninstall
and double-clicking the file located within.
